Valbonne Village

Valbonne is surrounded by towns and villages so everything is under half an hour’s drive away. Cannes and Antibes have great shopping areas and loads of lovely beaches all along the coast.

In contrast to the twisty little streets in the other medieval villages around, Valbonne is laid out in neat, symmetrical rectangles.

In the center of the village is the very lovely, 16th-century Place des Arcades. This central square is surrounded on all four sides by picturesque arcades, café terraces and little shops.

Dispersed here and there through the little streets are more shops and some well-respected restaurants.

At the bottom of the village, across the street below the rectangle of the center, is the 12th-century Eglise Saint Blaise, the attached Chalaisien Abbey (or “Ancien Couvent Chalaisien”),
